ORLANDO, Fla. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team competed at the ITA Southeast Regionals over the weekend at the ITA Tennis Center.
In the main singles draw,
Ema Baraniakova picked up a 6-2, 6-3 win over Abby Kelliher of Florida State in the Round of 64. She took Alejandra Cruz of Georgia Tech to three sets before falling 6-2, 2-6, 6-1 in the Round of 32. Cruz is the No. 9 ranked player in the ITA Women's Southeast Rankings.
Terezia Baraniakova (7-6, 6-7, 10-8),
Irene Serrano (6-2,6-1), and
Maria Ivankovic (6-7, 6-2, 10-6) all picked up wins in consolation matches over Georgia Southern.
In doubles, KSU got an 8-4 win by
Ema Baraniakova and
Sofia Madrid over South Florida in the Round of 64.
