Owls Set to Finish Regular Season at Crimson Classic Friday

KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's and women's cross country squads will conclude the regular-season portion of the 2025 schedule at the Crimson Classic.
 
Contested at Harry Pritchett Running Park, the meet will start with the men's 8K, Friday at 9:30 a.m. Eastern. The Women's 6K will follow at 10:20 a.m. Eastern.
 
The KSU women's team won the 6K Blue Race, marking their first team victory since Oct. 23, 2009. The men's team placed 12th overall, led by three top-21 individual finishes at the Louisville XC Classic on October 4.
 
Women's 6K (Louisville Classic)
Madison Seiler led the Owls with a fifth-place finish, clocking a time of 21:20.2. Emma Ferguson (21:41.0) and Samantha McGarity (21:42.6) followed closely, placing seventh and eighth, respectively. Akshana earned a 13th-place finish with a time of 22:02.7, while Riley Perlakowski capped the scoring for Kennesaw State, placing 21st in 22:24.6.
 
Men's 8K (Louisville Classic)
Collins Kipkemboi led the way for Kennesaw State with a runner-up finish, posting a time of 23:38.1. Brian Limo followed close behind in fourth place with a time of 23:45.5. Edwin Kiprono clocked a 24:12.7 to place 21st. Noah Sybert (25:44.1) and Diego Fernandes (26:10.7) rounded out the scoring for the Owls, placing 164th and 209th, respectively.
 
Up Next
The KSU men's and women's squads will attempt to win the team and individual titles at the CUSA Cross Country Championships on Nov. 1. The meet will take place at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Ala., with the women's 6K slated for 10 a.m. Eastern and the men's 8K to follow at 11 a.m. Eastern.
