STATESBORO, Ga. - Kennesaw State women's tennis competed in the Georgia Southern Fall Shootout over the weekend, hosted at the Wallis Tennis Center in Statesboro, Ga.

"This was another very strong weekend for the Owls," Director of Tennis
Matt Emery said. "Going 10-2 on Friday set the tone for the rest of the weekend. We are excited to get back to work for a few days before Regionals later this week."

 Play began on Friday, Oct. 10, as teams played in doubles and singles matches. Match play resumed Saturday morning continuing the format of singles and doubles play amongst a variety of players. The tournament concluded on Sunday, Oct. 12.

The Owls racked up several wins in doubles.
Laura Nadaska and Izabelle Perrson collected a 6-2 victory over North Carolina A&T to win their flight. Freshman
Irene Serrano and Terzia Baraniakova picked up a 7-5 win over a duo from North Carolina A&T.

The Kennesaw State women's tennis team will be back in action Oct.16-21 at the ITA Regionals.
