DAYTON, Ohio – Kennesaw State women's golf had a tremendous opening day at the Flyer Invitational, hosted by the University of Dayton, sitting in second place after 36 holes on Monday.
The Owls posted a 35-over par score of 303-300 at the NCR Country Club.
Scoreboard
Leading the way was
Jackie Jang, who finished 6-over par for the day after a 2-over par 73 first round and a 4-over par 75 in the second round. She's currently in 6
th place, individually.
Right behind her is
Sabrina Kim, who shot 3-over par in Round 1 before a 7-over par second round placed her at 10-over par for the day and in 19
th place, individually.
Rounding out the top four finishers on Monday for the Owls was
Alessandra Nagayo and
Nyah Kelly, who both finished 11-over par and tied for 24
th place. Nagayo shot a 79-74 on the day, while Kelly shot a 77-76.
True freshman
Ariana Silva finished just outside the top four Owls with a 13-over par day (33
rd). She turned in a 9-over par 80 in the first round before a 4-over par 75 in Round 2.
Competing as an individual,
Natasha Korman placed 36
th overall with a 14-over par opening day in Ohio. She shot 6-over par to open the day before a 8-over par finish.
Tee Time
Kennesaw State will return for Round 3 on Tuesday, Oct. 14. The final round will once again be a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
