Cummings Sets School Record at Vanderbilt Invitational Friday

NASHVILLE, Tenn.–
 The Kennesaw State men's and women's track and field teams resumed the 2024-25 indoor season at the Vanderbilt Invitational on Friday.
 
School Record
  • Natalie Cummings ran a time of 2:47.29 to place fifth in the 1K and establish a new program record.

Men's Top Performances
  • Andrew Dassler and A.J. Johnson both cleared 4.81m (15'9.25") to take third and fourth in the open pole vault.
  • Harrison Pawsat landed a toss of 18.86m (61'10.5") to finish second in the open weight throw.
  • Jase Hunter landed a mark of 20.42m (67'0") in the invite weight throw to place fifth.
  • Simon Seid cleared 5.10m (16'8.75") in the invite pole vault to secure a tie for sixth.
  • Brian Limo ran a time of 14:44.35 to place fifth in the 5k.
  • Eric Young II ran a time of 21.70 seconds to finish seventh in the 200m in his KSU debut.
 
 
Women's Top Performances
  • Mollie Speights and Kaylee Brown each cleared the bar at 1.64m (5'4.5") to take fifth and sixth in the invite high jump.
  • Eriana Sanford landed a toss of 19.21m (63'0.5") to finish third in the open weight throw.
  • Madison Seiler crossed the finish line with a time of 17:18.75 to place sixth in the 5K.

The Owls will conclude competition at the Vanderbilt Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 18.
