SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team finished play in the 67
th Men's Intercollegiate Championships on Sunday.

Simon Pritchard said" It was a tough field and all five guys had some great performances. Everyone has things to work on the next couple of weeks to be ready for ITA Regionals."
Hugo Salmeron,
Mikolaj Lis, Kyvan Rietkerk, Sam Baldwin and
Anthony Weingarten played for the Owls this weekend. Rietkerk made his KSU debut this weekend.
Salmeron led the Owls in singles action. He won his qualifying match then defeated Andres Lozias of Grand Canyon by a score of 6-3, 6-3 in the round of 32. After getting bounced in the round of 16, Salmeron downed Tomas Valencia of Illinois State 6-2, 4-6, 10-6. He also collected a win over Imran Daniel Hazli of Baylor 6-2, 3-6, 10-6.
Anthony Weingarten picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win over Zachary Pellouchoud in qualifying and beat Andreas Lozias of San Diego 6-3, 6-3 in the round of 32.
Mikolaj Lis defeated Brice Patoux of Grand Canyon 6-2.6-3.
Kyvan Rietkerk picked up his first singles win in a KSU uniform with a 7-6, 5-3 win over Tom Bevan of Illinois State.
In doubles action, Rietkerk and Lis beat Nikola Kuracia and Alex Padro Parra of Loyola-Marymount 6-3. Salmeron and
Sam Baldwin teamed up to beat Darius Tomaddon and Inigo Diaz Ibarguengoitiaof LMU 6-1.
Next Up
Following this weekend, KSU will head to Orlando, Fla. for the ITA Southeast Regionals.
