New Realm Brewing Company, Kennesaw State Launch OWL IN American Lager

ATLANTA – Kennesaw State University's move to the Football Bowl Subdivision has been met with excitement from across Owl Nation and has led to a university-branded beer for Owl fans to enjoy throughout the year. Award-winning craft brewer New Realm Brewing Company and Kennesaw State announced the release of OWL IN American Lager. It's the first collaboration for the Georgia-based brewery and KSU and will be available for Owl fans to enjoy during the Sept. 28 Homecoming football game at Fifth Third Stadium.
 
The official craft beer of the Kennesaw State Owls design features the university's signature black and gold colors with the Owl emblem front and center. KSU fans in Cobb County and Metro Atlanta can find OWL IN inside select markets year-round in 12-ounce 6-packs, 16-ounce singles and draft packages. A product locator can be found here where KSU fans can find OWL IN throughout 50 locations in Cobb, Fulton, Cherokee, and Bartow counties. Fans are encouraged to check the locator each week as more opportunities to purchase OWL IN will be available in stores and restaurants.

Crafted for refreshment, OWL IN is made with a smooth hop bill featuring Magnum, Hersbrucker and Lemondrop hops. The result is a 4% ABV light lager with a straw-gold color, and just 110 calories and nine carbs.
 
"Creating OWL IN has been a passion project for me as a proud KSU alum, and we're excited to kick off its release during such a fun time of year for college sports fans," said Jeff Chassner, chief sales officer at New Realm Brewing Company. "We're proud of the local partnership we've created with KSU to bring fans a beer that's full of flavor and refreshment and also light on carbs and calories. It's something every fan can enjoy during this new fall sports season and beyond."
 
OWL IN is an officially licensed product that was developed in conjunction with Van Wagner, College, led by KSU General Manager Joe Harrington, Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), with KSU's Licensing Manager Michael Creasy, and KSU Athletics, steered by Senior Associate Athletic Director Rob Aycock.

Kennesaw State University officially became a member of Conference USA in July and is in its second year of transitioning to the FBS. The evolution of the university's sports in competition at the Division I level mirrors its growth as the one of the largest universities in Georgia.
