Race Preview
The Kennesaw State cross country teams will open the 2024 season in Acworth, Ga., hosting the Stan Sims Cross Country Opener on Friday, Aug.30

The Owls will open their 36th season of cross country.

KSU will race against Georgia, Georgia Tech, Emory and Brewton-Parker.

The men's 4-mile race is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. The women's 5k race is set to get underway at 9:15 a.m.
 

KSU Team Notes
- The men's team returns three letterwinners while the women's team returns 14 letterwinners from 2023.

- Six men and seven women are expected to make their KSU cross country debuts Friday. 

- In the annual Conference USA preseason cross country coaches' polls, the women's team was picked third while the men were picked tied for sixth.

- The women's team was ranked No.12 in the USTFCCCA South Region preseason poll that was released on Aug. 26.
