KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw State baseball landed four student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
Seniors
Nick Hassan and
Brayden Eidson were joined by sophomores
Blake Aita and
Nolan Sliver on the list of honorees. Aita earned a spot after being named to the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Academic Team in May.
Eidson and Hassan posted career years at the plate with 72 and 61 hits, respectively, and finished second and third on the team in batting average. Hassan joined Aita on the All-Atlantic Sun First Team.
Aita delivered a marquee season on the bump for the Black and Gold with a 3.90 ERA and a team-best 84 punchouts. He went 7-4 in 2024.
Sliver threw 48.0 innings with two saves, two wins and a 4.13 ERA. He went 2-0 in conference play with 32 strikeouts and a 2-0 record.
The team tallied a 3.46 GPA for the spring 2024 semester, the highest cumulative GPA by the program in its recorded history.
KSU went 32-24 in the 2024 campaign with a trip to the ASUN Championship Game in its ledger. The Owls also toppled No. 10 Clemson and No. 25 Kentucky, securing three wins over teams that advanced to the NCAA Division I Super Regional round.
Kennesaw State joins Conference USA on July 1.
