KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw State baseball's (24-20, 14-8 Atlantic Sun) ninth-inning rally fell just short of North Florida (20-23, 11-11 ASUN), 4-3, Friday night inside Stillwell Stadium.

Shamaar McDuffie led the owls with two RBI that helped the Owls take the lead in the bottom of the second.
KSU extended its home scoring streak to 172 games, the third-longest streak in the country and longest in the ASUN by 115 games.
UNF struck first with one run in the second inning. McDuffie responded in the bottom of the frame with a scorching RBI double to right field, scoring 
Jackson Chirello and 
Donovan Cash, putting KSU in front, 2-1.
Aaron Posey launched a single to center that forced a UNF outfield error, allowing 
Nick Hassan to score and give KSU a 3-1 advantage in the third. UNF took a 4-3 lead in the top of the seventh.
North Florida kept the Owl rally just short in the bottom of the ninth to take the 4-3 victory.

KSU and UNF are set for a doubleheader Saturday, May 4 beginning at 1:00 p.m. on the KSU Owl Network. The Owls will honor the 2024 senior class prior to first pitch of game one.
