KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State women's basketball head coach Octavia Blue has named Lauren Bornstein the Director of Women's Basketball Operations, she announced Wednesday afternoon.

"I am so excited for Lauren to join our staff here at KSU," Blue said. "She comes highly regarded from people I trust in this profession. She is organized, highly motivated and will be a great fit for our program."

Bornstein brings eight years of experience in operations and event planning to Kennesaw State, having been the Director of Women's Basketball Operations for the Furman Paladins since 2021.

"I am incredibly excited and appreciative to become a part of Coach Blue's staff at Kennesaw State University," Bornstein said. "Coach Blue's commitment and strategic vision for success and culture is proven both on and off the court. I admire her dedication to advancing our sport, as well as the leadership she offers in guiding the young women in the Owl's program. I am thrilled to contribute to the rich tradition of KSU athletics and am eager to work alongside our dedicated and talented coaches, staff, administration and student-athletes."

While in Greenville, S.C., she was responsible for coordinating team travel arrangements, organizing and scheduling team logistics as well as film and strength and conditioning sessions. She also facilitated initiatives for annual giving to raise over $20,000 for the Paladin women's basketball operational budget.

Before her time at Furman, Bornstein served as the Director of Women's Basketball Operations for Cleveland State from 2019-2021.
