Raul Garcia closed his KSU career with a win in singles in the Owls' Atlantic Sun Semifinal against Stetson.
Garcia closed his career with 70 wins in singles which ranks tops in program history. He collected 22 singles wins in fall tournament play and 48 wins in spring dual match play. 26 of his 48 spring wins came on line one for the Owls.
Garcia posted a 15-4 record at No. 1 for the Owls this season. His 15 wins led the team. He picked up ASUN wins over North Alabama, Lipscomb, Stetson, FGCU, Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Queens and EKU and Stetson (ASUN Tournament). His non-conference wins were over West Alabama, Georgia Southern, Samford, UNC Asheville, Incarnate Word and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. He also was named ASUN Player of the Week three times this season. He was an ASUN First Team All-Conference Selection for the third-consecutive season.
The Owls finished the season with a 14-6 record. The 14 wins tied for the second-most in a season in program history. KSU collected seven wins each at home and on the road this season. KSU was also ranked three times during the 2024 season.
KSU will move to Conference USA on July 1, 2024. The Owls will return in the fall for tournament play. The spring dual-match season will begin in late January 2025. Based on the Conference USA schedule format the Owls 2025 schedule will consist of only non-conference match ups leading up to the 2025 CUSA Tournament. The Owls 2024-25 schedule is to be determined.
