CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Claes Borregaard opened play at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional at Foley Golf Club on Monday.
The first round was completed. Round two was moved to Monday afternoon because of the threat of inclement weather on Tuesday in Chapel Hill. Play was suspended at 8:15 p.m. Monday evening due to darkness.
Borregaard carded a 6-over par 76 in the opening round. He did make an eagle on his sixth hole of the tournament. The Smorum, Denmark native was 2-under par through 16 holes of his second round when play was suspended. He is currently tied for 51
st.
The second round is scheduled to resume at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14. Round three will begin no earlier than 9:30 a.m.
Update May 14th
Borregaard completed his second round on Tuesday morning. He finished at 1-under 69. Play began in round three but was suspdened due to inclement weather. Round three will resume at 7:30 a.m. on Wedneday, May 15.
