KENNESAW, Ga. – Justin Campbell,
Olivia Brown and
Tayla Moreland collected Atlantic Sun Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors for their performances at the Jim Green Invitational and Georgia Tech Invitational, the conference announced Wednesday.
Campbell was named ASUN Men's Field Athlete of the Week. The junior finished second in the triple jump with a season-best mark of 15.35m (1.8) (50'4.5"). That mark ranks tops in the ASUN and 26
th in the NCAA East Region.
Brown earned the ASUN Women's Track Athlete of the Week award. She finished second in the 100m hurdles at the Georgia Tech invitational with a season-best time of 13.57 seconds. That time ranks tops in the ASUN by 0.62 seconds.
Moreland was named ASUN Women's Field Athlete of the Week. She finished second in the triple jump with a wind-aided mark of 12.58m (2.1) (41'3.25"). That mark ranks second in the ASUN and 35
th in the NCAA East Region this season.
The Owls will finish the outdoor regular season on Apr. 26-27 at the UNF East Coast Relays.
