DOTHAN, Ala. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team is tied for sixth after the opening round of 2024 Atlantic Sun Men's Golf Championship at the RTJ Golf Trail at Highland Oaks.
The Owls carded a 7-over par 295 in cold and windy conditions in round one. Lipscomb leads the event at 8-under par 280.
Kyle Bachkosky led the Owls on Sunday with an even-par round of 72. Bachkosky is tied for 12th. He made five birdies and eight pars during his opening round.
Shaun Cook and
Hugo Lari are tied for 22nd at 2-over par after each carded rounds of 74. The two combined to roll in 20 pars during their opening rounds.
Claes Borregaard sits just one shot behind Cook and Lari after a 3-over 75 on Sunday.
Joshua Todd (83) is in 59
th place.
The Owls will play round two of ASUN Men's Golf Championship on Monday, Apr. 22 at 9:50 a.m. ET. KSU will be paired with Jacksonville and Stetson in round two.
