FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Kennesaw State men's tennis team fell 4-1 to Stetson in the semifinal round of the ASUN Championship at the FGCU Tennis Complex on Saturday.
Stetson won the doubles points with victories on lines one and two. KSU collected a 6-4 win on court three by
Hugo Salmeron and
Sam Baldwin.
The Hatters won the doubles point and three singles points to claim the match victory.
Raul Garcia captured the Owls lone point with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Lucas Olivier. The win was the 48
th and final one is his KSU dual-match career.
The Owls finished the season with a 14-6 record. The 14 wins tied for the second-most in a season in program history. KSU collected seven wins each at home and on the road this season. KSU also was ranked three times during the 2024 season.
KSU will move to Conference USA on July 1, 2024. The Owls will return in the fall for tournament play. The spring dual-match season will begin in late January 2025. Based on the Conference USA schedule format the Owls 2025 schedule will consist of only non-conference match ups leading up to the 2025 CUSA Tournament. The Owls 2024-25 schedule is to be determined.
