MONROE, La. – The Owls saved their best performance for last with a 294 round three score to jump into sixth to finalize the ULM Invitational in Monroe, La.
Their team score marked the third best of the day, behind third place ULM (286) and first place Same Houston (282).
Scoreboard
Breaking through below par for the first time in the tournament was Lara Jecnik at -1 on the final day. She tied for the team lead with a +3 final tally, the third straight tournament resigning as the leader for the Owls.
The other Owl who shined was senior Bella Kil. She retired with a +3 score with a 72 round score to end day one and ending with a 73 total in round three. Kil and Jecnik tied for 15th in the 78 player field.
Shortly behind the leading duo was Sabrina Kim as she ended the day with a two-over 74, her best score by at least three strokes of the invitational. Her total registered at 13-over 229.
Alessandra Nagayo finished just in front of Kim in total scoring with a 12 over after concluding with a 76 round three tally. Nagayo and Kim both finished in the top 50.
Caitlyn Campbell-Nyman ended with a 15-over 231 final score.
