KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State track and field teams had athletes in action at the Jim Green Invitational at Kentucky and the Georgia Tech Invitational on Friday.
 
Jim Green Invitational
Event Wins

• Zachary Peterson won the men's hammer throw with a personal-best toss of 62.84m (206'2").
• Quann Shears won the men's javelin throw with a toss of 61.31m (201'1").  

 
Men's Top Performances

• Ahmed Magour (60.25m |197'8), Aidan Boyd (58.34m | 191'5"), and Reece Burton 56.67m (185'11") finished third, fourth and fifth in the javelin.

 
Women's Top Performances

• Kaylee Clark landed a toss of 45.32m (148'8") finish second in the javelin.

 
Georgia Tech Invitational
Men's Top Performances

• Mitchell Ratley landed a toss of 15.55m (48'4") to finish seventh in the shot put.
• Sean Dyer (14.38 seconds) and Mohamed Diaby (14.42 seconds) took home seventh and ninth in the 110 hurdles.
• Chance Cross ran a time of 10.55 seconds to finish ninth in the 100m.

 
Women's Top Performances

• Lilly Chounard cleared 3.65m (11'11.75") to finish tied for sixth in the pole vault.
• Olivia Brown finished third in the 100m hurdles in a season-best time of 13.65 seconds.
• Emma Ferguson ran a time of 4:27.68 to place ninth in the 1500m.

 
 
The Owls will wrap up action at the Jim Green Invitational and Georgia Tech Invitational on Saturday, Apr. 20.
