KENNESAW, Ga. – Ema Baraniakova of the Kennesaw State women's tennis team earned Atlantic Sun Second Team and All-Freshman honors, the conference announced Thursday.
Baraniakova finished the regular season with a 9-9 singles record. She recorded ASUN wins over North Florida, Central Arkansas, Stetson Bellarmine and EKU. She defeated players from Western Carolina, UNC Asheville, Presbyterian and Jacksonville State in non-conference action.
In doubles, she posted a 12-4 record with
Taylor Dean on court one. That duo was responsible for 12 of the teams 32 doubles wins this spring. They opened the season with seven consecutive victories over Louisville, Georgia Southern, Alabama State, UAB, Western Carolina, Presbyterian and Jacksonville State. Their ASUN doubles wins came over Lipscomb, FGCU, Bellarmine, Queens and EKU.
Baraniakova and the No. 4 seed Owls take on No.5 Austin Peay on Friday, April 19 at 9 a.m. in the quarterfinals of the ASUN Tournament at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
