KENNESAW, Ga. - Raul Garcia and
Harvey Conway of the Kennesaw State men's tennis team earned Atlantic Sun Conference postseason honors on Wednesday, the league announced.
Garcia earned a First Team All-Conference selection for the third consecutive season. Conway was named Second Team All-Conference for the second consecutive season.
Garcia posted a 14-4 record at No.1 for the Owls this season. His 14 wins led the team. He picked up ASUN wins over North Alabama, Lipscomb, Stetson, FGCU, Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Queens and EKU. His non-conference wins were over West Alabama, Georgia Southern, Samford, UNC Asheville, Incarnate Word and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. He was 12-4 in doubles with two partners. He was 11-4 with
Harvey Conway with conference wins over North Alabama, Lipscomb, Stetson, Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Queens and EKU, In non-conference action he won in doubles over West Alabama, Georgia Southern, Samford, Jacksonville State and Texas A&M Corpus Christi. He also was named ASUN Player of the the Week three times this season.This is the fourth ASUN postseason honor of Garcia's career. He joins
Simon Pritchard as the only Owls in program history to earn ASUN First Team All-Conference honors three times.
Conway posted a record of 10-7 in singles action playing primarily at No. 2. He collected ASUN wins over North Alabama, Lipscomb, FGCU, Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Queens and EKU. The fifth-year senior picked up non-conference wins over UNC Asheville, Jacksonville, State and Incarnate Word. The Bromley, England native was 11-4 with
Raul Garcia in doubles.
Garcia, Conway and the No. 75 Owls await Friday's winner of Stetson and EKU in the ASUN quarterfinal. KSU will face the winner of that match in the semifinals at 5 p.m. on Saturday at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
