Maricopa, Ariz. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team opened play at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at the AK-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Course on Monday.
The Owls shot a 2-under par 286 in the opening round. Play began in the second round and the Owls had finished 14-15 holes before it was suspended due to lightning in the area. KSU was in 11
th when play was halted for the day. The second round is scheduled to resume at 10:15 AM ET on Tuesday, Apr. 2 with the final round beginning after the conclusion of round two.
Claes Borregaard was tied for 24
th at the suspension of play. The junior carded a 1-under 71 in the opening round and is 3-under through 14 holes of his second round. He made eight birdies and 28 pars during his 32 holes of golf on Monday.
Freshman
Joshua Todd recorded a 1-under 71 in round one. Todd is 1-under par through 15 holes of his second round. He is tied for 34
th at 2-under par.
Hugo Lari posted a 1-over 73 in round one. The senior is 2-under through 14 holes of his second round. He is tied for 46
th at 1-under par.
Kyle Bachkosky is tied for 63
rd at 1-over par. He shot 73 in the opening round and is even-par through 14 holes of his second round.
Shaun Cook is tied for 71
st at 2-over. The sophomore opened with a 71 but is 3-over through 14 holes in round two.
The Owls will finish play at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic on Tuesday, April 2 at 10:15 a.m. ET.
