FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Kennesaw State men's tennis team secured a 6-1 win over FGCU on Saturday evening at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
KSU (10-5, 3-2 ASUN) won all six singles matches to capture its third consecutive conference win.
The Eagles secured a very tight doubles point in a tiebreaker on court two. KSU did collect a 6-2 victory on court three by
Mikolaj Lis and
Hugo Salmeron over John Zakowski and Mika Bunjes.
Hugo Salmeron got the Owls on the board first defeating John Zakowski 6-2, 6-2 on court five.
Anthony Weingarten downed Eric Oncins 6-1, 6-2 to give the Owls the lead for good at 2-1.
Harvey Conway beat Pablo Pasternotro by a score of 6-2, 7-6 (7-2) on court two.
Raul Garcia clinched the victory with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Hugo Magnusson.
Seru Tezuka won his second consecutive match on court six defeating Ninad Raut 6-3, 6-4.
Sam Baldwin secured the sixth and final point with a 7-6 (9-7), 2-6, 1-0 (11-9) win over Mika Bunjes on court three.
