Spencer Hanson was named to the 2024 All-Atlantic Sun Preseason team, the conference office announced Wednesday morning.
Hanson played in 42 games last season with 38 starts, leading the team in batting average (.369), homers (15), RBI (55) and slugging percentage (.725). He had 17 multi-hit games including reaching four hits on three different occasions. The righty ended the season with 10 hits in three games against FGCU.
The Leesburg, Ga. native earned 2023 All-ASUN third team honors a season ago including two player of the week awards. He has a career .339 average at the plate in 94 games played as an Owl with 107 hits - 39 for extra bases.
KSU was picked to finish fifth in the preseason coaches poll with 99 points and one first-place vote.
Kennesaw State begins the season Friday, Feb. 16 for a three-game set at UAB. The Owls' home opener is set for Tuesday, Feb. 20 against in-state foe Mercer.
