KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State track & field had three members selected as ASUN Conference Performers of the Week for their performances at the at the South Carolina Invitational.
On the men's side,
Justin Campbell was named ASUN Men's Field Athlete of the Week and
Trey Geter was named ASUN Freshman of the Week. For the women's team,
Kali Terza was awarded the ASUN Women's Field Performer of the Week and
Keira Hight earned ASUN Women's Freshman of the Week honors, the conference announced Wednesday.
Campbell won the triple jump with a personal-best leap of 15.35m (50'4.5"). That mark ranks tops in the ASUN by nearly two feet this season. It also ranks tied for tenth in program history.
Geter ran the 400m in a personal-best time of 48.38 seconds to finish tenth. That mark ranks third in the ASUN this season.
Terza landed a personal-best toss of 19.63m (64'5") to win the weight throw. That throw established a new school record and ranks tops in the ASUN this season.
Hight cleared the bar at a personal-best mark of 3.60m (11'9.75") to finish ninth in the pole vault. That mark ranks third in the ASUN this season.
Next Up
KSU will participate in a trio of meets next week. The Owls will be competing at the Tiger Paw Invitational and the Music City Challenge on Feb. 9 -10. A contingent of Owls will also participate in the Samford Open on Feb. 10.
