MELBOURNE, Fla. Sabrina Kim lead the charge for the Owls on day one of the Columbia Classic, shooting a one-under 71 and finishing T-5th.
The freshman started her round off hot, making birdies on her first two holes. She then bogeyed her third hole before settling into a rhythm and making a birdie on the last to shoot 71. Other top performers included
Nyah Kelly and
Lara Jecnik; the former birdied the final two holes of her round to shoot an even-par 72 and finish T-8th. Jecnik, on the other hand, made an eagle on her final hole of the day to chalk up an even-par 72 and finish T-8
th.
Scorecard:
Caitlyn Campbell-Nyman finished her first round at a 2-over 74, putting her T-19
th.
Alessandra Nagayo had an up-and-down round that ultimately finished in a three-over 75 and left her T-28
th.
Bella Kil tallied a six-over 78.

Round two of action from the Columbia Classic will begin on Sunday at 8 am where the Owls will go off the 1
st and 10
th tees.
