Braden Osbolt and outfielder
Jackson Chirello were listed in D1Baseball's Top 150 College MLB Draft Prospects along with cracking the Top 300 among Perfect Game's ranks.
Osbolt cracked the top 100 on
D1Baseball's list, ranked 86 while Chirello was tabbed at 146. The junior pitcher is the fifth-highest ranked Conference USA player on the list and the third-highest CUSA right-handed pitcher. Chirello is listed as just one of two outfielders in the league to make the list.
In the '24 campaign, Osbolt made 14 starts on the mound with a 5-2 record and a 4.48 ERA. The righty impressed over the spring and summer earning an All-Atlantic Sun Third Team spot and a Cape Cod All-Star nod. Chirello posted a career year last season collecting a ASUN All-Tournament Team award on the back of a regular season .290 batting average along with 12 doubles.
Osbolt and Chirello were also ranked at 154th and 254th respectively, on
Perfect Game's Top 300 College MLB Draft board. Additionally, future Owl Reid Worley was ranked 114th on the aforementioned list. The right-handed pitcher is marked as the number one pitcher in the state of Georgia according to Prep Baseball Report. He was honored with a Pre-Season Perfect Game Underclass All American First Team spot. The Canton, Ga. native is the single-season record holder for most strikeouts in school history (90) at Cherokee HS.
