Final Results
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team was in action at the Country Club of Birmingham Invitational hosted by Samford over the weekend.
The highlight of the weekend came in doubles where
Hugo Salmeron and
Mikolaj Lis reached the semifinals of the Blue Doubles Draw. They beat Vincent Voh and Max Kalin of Tulane by a score of 6-2.
Kyvan Rietkerk stepped in and replaced Lis and helped Salmeron to a 6-1 win over Georgio Nouchakis and Hoan Mouret of UAB.
The doubles pair of
Sam Baldwin and
Anthony Weingarten defeated Charlie Piegza and Santiago Arredondo of Samford 6-1.
In singles action,
Mikolaj Lis collected a 6-4, 6-0 win over JB Pickard of Samford and a 6-4 ,6-1 win over Victor Frumholz of South Alabama.
Sam Baldwin recorded a 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (8) win over Jake Anthony of UAB.
Kyvan Rietkerk and
Hugo Salmeron also collected singles wins in the back draws.

The Owls will head to Charleston, S.C. to close the fall season at the College of Charleston Fall Tourney on Nov. 8 -10.
