Final Atlantic Sun Schedule Tips Off Saturday

KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw State (4-9) begins its final Atlantic Sun Conference schedule Saturday against the Queens (N.C.) Royals (6-7) at 2:00 p.m. inside the KSU Convocation Center.

The Owls begin the 2023-24 conference slate at home for the first time since the 2019-20 campaign. With a victory Saturday, the Owls can secure their first back-to-back wins in home conference openers since the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.

This is Kennesaw State's final season in the ASUN Conference before moving to Conference USA on July 1.

Prencis Harden
  • KSU enters ASUN play Saturday having faced a tretcherous non-conference slate this season.
    • The average NET rank of KSU's 13 non-conference foes ranked 120, the highest of any ASUN team.
    • The Owls secured wins over Florida Atlantic and Providence - the second Power Six win in program history.
  • Prencis Harden leads the Owls in points (159), rebounds (84), steals (18), field goals made (57) and free throw percentage (81.8%) this season.
    • She has scored in the double-digits in each of the last six games and eight of the last nine.
      • The junior has posted at least five points in every game played in 2023-24.
    • Harden has tallied back-to-back double-doubles and three in total this season.
  • Senior Kyndall Golden
  • Saturday marks the third all-time meeting between the Owls and Royals.
    • KSU is 1-0 at home against Queens, taking an 85-63 win on Mar. 1, 2023.

  • The Owls lead the ASUN in the following categories:
    • Blocks per game (3.8)
    • Offensive rebounds per game (14.8)
  • KSU is top five in the ASUN in the following categories:
    • 4th - rebound margin (3.3)
    • 4th - rebounds per game (38.08)
    • 4th - steals per game (9.0)
    • 4th - turnovers forced per game (17.54)
    • 5th - scoring defense (62.2)

In Our Blue Era

Coach Blue Extension 2027
  • On Dec. 7, Blue signed a contract extension through the 2026-27 season with KSU.
  • She is the fastest coach in Kennesaw State women's basketball's DI history to 27 wins, shattering the previous mark by 12 games.
  • Since Blue took over in 2021-22, the Owls have the third-most home conference wins of any DI women's basketball program in the state of Georgia (9), tied with UGA and Mercer - and behind only Georgia Southern (11) and Georgia Tech (10).
  • Coach Blue reached 19 home wins on Dec. 2 vs. Coastal Georgia, taking only 32 games to achieve the feat and passing former head coach Agnus Berenato's KSU women's basketball's DI record by six games.
  • The Black and Gold protected the Nest in 2022-23, accruing a 9-4 record inside the friendly confines of the KSU Convocation Center.
  • Last season, KSU WBB doubled its conference win total from five to 10, finishing with a 10-8 record in ASUN play.
  • In her first two seasons at the helm, Coach Blue has secured 24 wins, the second-most by a KSU coach in DI program history in their first two seasons.
  • Of the 14 Owls on the roster, seven are new to the Nest as freshmen or transfers, but for the first time as head coach, Blue's roster is 100% comprised of players brought in by one of her staffs.

  • The 2023-24 season marks the final year of competition for Kennesaw State in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
