KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State track & field had three members selected as ASUN Conference Athletes of the Week for their performances at the Samford Multi and Samford Invitational.
On the men's side,
Jordan Fick was named ASUN Men's Field Athlete of the Week. For the women's team,
Olivia Brown was awarded the ASUN Women's Track Athlete of the Week and
Amelia Coker was named ASUN Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.
Fick finished second in the heptathlon at the Samford Multi meet scoring a personal-best 5283 points. His point total ranks No. 1 in the ASUN and No. 8 in the NCAA this season. He finished second in the heptathlon long jump with a personal-best leap of 7.00m (22'11.75"). The junior won the pole vault in the clearing 4.70m (15'5"). He also finished sixth in the long jump and was second in the 60m and 60m hurdles.
Brown won the 60m hurdles at the Samford Invitational with a time of 8.64 seconds. That time ranks first in the ASUN this season. She finished 17
th in the 60m in a time of 8.05 seconds.
Coker finished fifth in the pentathlon at the Samford Multi Meet scoring 3466 points. That point total ranks No. 1 in the ASUN this season. She won the pentathlon 60m hurdles with a time of 8.89. That time ranks second in the ASUN this season. She also had personal-best marks in the pentathlon high jump and shot put.
The Owls return to action on January 26-27 at the Bob Pollock Invitational hosted by Clemson.
