Cape Cod Baseball League Release
KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State baseball's
Smith Pinson was named to the 2023 Cape Cod Baseball All-League Team, the association announced. The Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) is known as the nation's premier collegiate baseball summer organization which boasts over 1,000 former players who have gone on to play in the major leagues.
Pinson pitched for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox and ended the summer with a 3-1 record on the mound. The Kennesaw State right-hander tossed a team-high 37.0 innings and finished with a 2.68 earned run average. Pinson also struck out 37 batters and allowed only 11 walks during the season.
The Leesburg, Ga. native completed the summer inside the top five in wins, strikeouts and ERA in the CCBL as he returns to Kennesaw State for his junior campaign.
