KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State baseball announced its plans for the 30th Annual Alumni Baseball Weekend and Golf Tournament on Tuesday. The weekend will consist of The Shake Memorial Golf Tournament on October 6, followed by the KSU football game versus Tennessee State on October 7.
This year marks the third instance that the alumni golf tournament is named "The Shake," sporting the same nickname as longtime KSU baseball supporter, Fred Stillwell. As one of the university's earliest donors, Stillwell became a close friend to the staff and players of the Owls' baseball program. In Feb. 2021, the Stillwell Stadium's namesake sadly passed away at the age of 95.
The tournament is open for registration and costs $100 dollars per person. This includes green and cart fees, a bucket of range balls, food, and refreshments. Golfers will arrive at Cobblestone Golf Course in Acworth, Ga. at 8:00 a.m. with tee off beginning at 9:00 a.m.
