Owls Wrap Up Day Two Tied for Sixth in Colorado

WOLCOTT, Colo. - The Kennesaw State women's golf team ended day two tied for sixth at the 2023 Golfweek Red Sky Classic.

The Owls shot 18-over 306 through the second round to once again finish ahead of Atlantic Sun foe Central Arkansas while being tied with Arkansas State.
 
LEADING THE TEAM:
Bella Kil ended the day as the leader for the Owls after finishing with a 74 round two score and tied for 12th. Kil scored even on par three's (T-4th) and one under on par four's (T-3rd) on the day. She also was second on the team Monday with a 1-under 71 score.

Caitlyn Campbell-Nyman tied with Kil for the team lead today with a 74-score making her total 151 through 36 holes. Campbell-Nyman ended tied for the second-most birdies on the team along with Lara Jecnik with six.
  
SCORECARD:  
The Owls currently have three players in the top 30 in Kil (T-12th), Jecnik (T-21st) and Campbell-Nyman (T-27th)

Alessandra Nagayo and Jecnik ended the day 7-over 79.

Freshman Sabrina Kim shot 81 in the second round, improving two strokes from her round one score.

GOLF CART NOTES:  
>> KSU is tied for fifth with 103 total pars in the invitational.

>> The Owls finished day two seventh on par four's with a 4.29 average and eight on par three's with a 3.28 stroke average.
 
NEXT TEE TIME:  
The final round of action at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic is set for Wednesday, Sept. 27.
