KENNESAW, Ga. - The Kennesaw State women's golf team is gearing up and heading to the mountains in Avon, Colo. for the GolfWeek Red Sky Invitational starting Monday.  
 
This tournament treated the Owls beautifully last year with Kennesaw State finishing second in the field as a team and bolstering some top 10 individual placements. Bella Kil finished tied for fourth after shooting 213 over three days and Lara Jecnik shortly behind with a 214 tally tied for sixth. 

The Sam golden Invitational was one to remember for the entire squad finishing ninth after a 9-over 297 third round to finish at 7-under 857, the lowest tournament score under head coach Erin Thorne and third-lowest on a par 72 course in program history. The first event was a strong one for KSU with a single-round low (277 in round two) and team-low through 36 holes (560).

Now in the one spot, Caitlyn Campbell-Nyman had a tournament for the books earning her second-career ASUN Golfer of the Week honor after posting a career-low tournament score of 6-under 210 at the Sam Golden Invitational.
 
Starts will be at 11:06 MT or 1:06 PM ET for a rolling start Monday.
