Round Two Results | Final Round Live Scoring
Bowling Green, Fla. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team grabbed the lead after round two of the Allstate Streamsong Invitational on Tuesday.
The tournament is being played at the par 73 Streamsong Black Course.
KSU carded another 15-under par round of 277 on Tuesday for a 36-hole total of 30-under par 554. The Owls will have a nine-shot lead heading into the final round on Wednesday, Sept. 13.
"We were treading water a little bit through nine holes today," assistant coach
Nick Mackay said. "It's the type of course where if you keep doing the right things eventually birdies will start showing up and that's what we did. Although we have played well so far, we still feel like there's unfinished business tomorrow."
Shaun Cook continued his strong play with a round of 6-under par 67 on Tuesday to grab first place through 36 holes at 13-under par 133. Cook posted six birdies and three pars over his final nine holes. The sophomore leads the field with 15 birdies through two rounds.
Kyle Bachkosky is tied for third after a 3-under 70. He has a 36-hole total score of 9-under par 137. The sophomore birdied three of his final six holes of the second round.
Claes Borregaard carded his second-consecutive round of 2-under par 71 and is tied for 11
th at 4-under par 142. He has now recorded an under-par round in seven of his last eight rounds dating back to last season.
Hugo Lari and
Hunter Gillard each posted 3-under par rounds of 70 and are tied for 19
th with a 36-hole score of 143.
The Owls will finish play at the Allstate Streamsong Invitational with round three on Wednesday, September 13.
