ACWORTH, Ga. – Nineteen members of the Kennesaw State men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Stan Sims Cross Country Opener at Allatoona Creek Park on Friday evening.
The KSU women finished second and the men took home fourth.
In the men's 5K, freshman
Dillon Berger posted a time of 15:32.33 to finish 29
th and pace the Owls.
Joseph Mines crossed the line in a time of 15:44.99 to take home 37
th.
Grant Crabtree ran a time of 16:30.25 to secure 58
th.
Ryan Hoppenfeld (17:18.32) and
Youssef Ashour (18:00.31) rounded out the scoring for the Owls finishing 66
th and 72
nd.
The women were led by
Anna James who ran a time of 17:31.77 to place fourth. She was closely followed by
Emma Sullivan who recorded a time of 17:34.14 to secure fifth. Freshman
Madison Seiler crossed the line in 17:42.17 to take home seventh.
Natalie Cummings ran a time of 18:00.19 to place 14th.
Ciara Miles secured the Owls runner-up finish placing 19
th with a time of 18:05.14.
