ATLANTAÂ - The 2023-24 conference slate for the Kennesaw State women's basketball team was released by the ASUN Conference Wednesday.
The schedule opens on Jan. 6, 2024 inside the Convocation Center against Queens (N.C.). The game against the Royals begins a three-game conference homestand including North Florida (Jan. 11) and Jacksonville (Jan. 13). Two games separate the Owls and UNF Ospreys in the series with the Black and Gold holding a 27-25 advantage.
A three-game road trip evens out the schedule beginning with two contests in Florida against Stetson on Jan. 18 and 2022-23 ASUN Champion FGCU on Jan. 20. The trip concludes against North Alabama on Jan. 24.
KSU returns home on Jan. 27 against Central Arkansas followed by two games in three days against Austin Peay (Feb. 1) and Lipscomb (Feb. 3). Kennesaw State holds a 2-1 lead over UCA the first three meetings. The all-time series between the Owls and Governors is tied at three apiece entering this season while Kennesaw State looks to extend its 22-10 series advantage over Lipscomb.
The Owls then travel north to Kentucky to meet Bellarmine on Feb. 8 and Eastern Kentucky on Feb. 10. The Black and Gold lead the series 3-2 against the Knights.
FGCU and Stetson return to the Convocation Center on Feb. 15 and Feb. 17, respectively. The latter marks the final ASUN regular season home game for Kennesaw State.
The final road trip of the Owls' 2023-24 conference slate include another trip to the Sunshine State on Feb. 22 against Jacksonville and Feb. 24 at North Florida.
The regular season concludes in Charlotte, N.C. against Queens on Mar. 2.
The Owls went 10-8 in ASUN play a season ago, doubling their conference win total from the previous season and marked the most single-season ASUN wins for the Owls since 2008-09.
KSU ended the regular season winning five of its last eight league games in head coach Octavia Blue's second season at the helm.
2023-24 marks the final season for Kennesaw State in the ASUN before moving to Conference USA on July 1, 2024.
