JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Kennesaw State track and field teams continued action at the ASUN Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.

 Decathlon (completed)

• Ian Jackson finished second with 6438 points.
• Devin Barnett (5923 points), Jordan Fick (5375 points) and Quann Shears (4910 points) finished fourth, fifth and sixth.

 
Heptathlon (completed)

• London White (4077 points) and Kyarra Newton (3806 points) finished ninth and 10^th overall.

 
School Record

• Eriana Sanford took home the bronze medal in the discus with a mark of 48.13m (157'11) to establish a new program record in the event.

 
 
Medal Winners

• Courtney Lawrence won the shot put with a mark of 19.44m (63'9.50"). He was joined on the podium by Tyler Blalock who finished runner-up with a mark of 18.97m (62'3").
• Juan Cavazos II won the men's high jump clearing 2.15m (7'0.5"). Sultan Simms secured the bronze medal with a clearance of 2.12m (6'11.5").
• Kaelen Mitchell collected the gold medal with a leap of 7.41m (24'4.75") in the long jump. Justin Campbell secured second place with a mark of 7.18m (23'6.75")
• Tayla Moreland landed a leap of 5.91m (19'4.75") to grab the bronze medal in the long jump.

 
 Running Event Qualifiers for Saturday's Finals

• Malik Hussie (46.76 seconds), Cameron Johnson (49.35 seconds) and Sparticus Griffin (50.21 seconds) moved on the men's 400m final.
• Britney Chatfield 55.52 seconds will represent KSU in the women's 400m final.
• Tyriq Hussie (10.66 seconds) and Aaron Goodwin (10.76 seconds) will run in the men's 100m final.
• Corbin McLean (11.75 seconds) and Jalurah Moore (11.85 seconds) will be the two Owls in the women's 100m final.
• Olivia Brown (13.71 seconds), Corbin Mclean (13.78 seconds), London White (14.55 seconds), Tayla Morleand (14.73 seconds) and Veajah Hylton (14.75 seconds) advanced to the women's 100m hurdle final.
• Sarah Hendrick (2:08.86), Caroline Timm (2:09.42) and Natalie Cummings (2:08.65) qualified for the women's 800m final.
