Owls Hold Narrow Lead After Day One of ASUN Championships

The Kennesaw State track and field teams opened action at the ASUN Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday at Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.

Medal Winners
  • Kali Terza landed a toss of 61.02m (200'2") to secure the gold medal in the women's hammer throw. That throw established a new ASUN Championship record.
  • Terza was joined by Eriana Sanford on the podium who finished third with a mark of 53.54m (175'8").
  • Kaylee Clark and Kaitlyn Corral took first and second place in the women's javelin throw. Clark had a mark of 45.54m (149'5") and Corral had a toss of 43.51m (142'9").
  • Simon Seid won the men's pole vault with a clearance of 4.93m (16'2"). He was joined on the podium by Stephen Smith who cleared 4.73m (15.6.25") for second place.
  • Mollie Speights cleared the bar at 1.63m (5'4.25") to tie for third in the women's high jump.
