ATLANTA, Ga. – Senior Meva Schmit earned her second career ASUN Golfer of the Week honor, the conference announced Thursday.
Schmit led the Owls with a 5-under 211 score, tying her 54-hole career low. She carded back-to-back under-par rounds and an even-par third at the Pinetree Women's Collegiate presented by Henssler earlier this week.
Her stellar outing contributed to a tied-for-second placement – the best of her KSU career in her final home tournament as an Owl.
She led the field in par-4 scoring average at 3.87 and her 11 birdies led the team.
The award is the second for the team in the 2022-23 season.
Kennesaw State seek to win its fourth ASUN Championship in the last five events on Apr. 16-18 at the Hampton Cove Golf Course in Huntsville, Ala.
