Owls Set to Host Kennesaw State Invitational on Friday

The KSU track and field programs are set to host the 2023 Kennesaw State Invitational on Friday, April 7  at the KSU Outdoor Track and Field Complex.
The meet was scheduled for two days but has been condensed to one to due inclement weather that is expected in Kennesaw on Saturday.
 
Admission is free and spectators are encouraged to park at the CCT lot at 3221 Busbee Drive NW Kennesaw, GA 30144.
 
TEAMS COMPETING
Agnes Scott, Berry, Birmingham Southern, Cumberland (Tenn.), Emory, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Life, Montevallo, Reinhardt, SCAD Atlanta, Talladega, Truett-McConell and West Georgia
 
LAST TEAM OUTDOOR MEET
Members of the KSU Track and Field teams competed at the Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational March 30 – April 1. KSU won two events and posted some solid performances.

NEXT UP
The Owls will split up and head to a pair of meets on April 12-14. Three distance runners will head to the Bryan Clay Invitational and the rest of the team will head to the Samford Invitational on April 14. 

NEWS AND NOTES
» The Owls are tops in the ASUN in seven events on the men's side and four on the women's side this season.
» The Owls have athletes ranked in the top 48 in eight events on the women's side and nine events in the NCAA East Region this season.
» KSU enters the weekend ranked eighth (men) and 16th (women) in the NCAA South region.
» Simon Seid earned ASUN Athlete of the Week honors for his performance at the Bobcat Invitational.
