KSU Sets School Record and Wins Two Events at East Coast Relays

 – The Kennesaw State track and field teams began competition at the East Coast Relays at Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium.
 
School Record
  • Kali Terza landed a mark of 64.33m (211.00") to win the women's hammer throw at East Coast Relays.
 
Event Winners
  • Courtney Lawrence won the shotput with a personal-best mark of 19.39m (63'7.50").
  • AJ Johnson cleared a personal-best mark of 5.25m (17'2.75") to take home a tie for first in the pole vault.
 
Men's Top Performances
  • Nicholas Mabilo (21.00 seconds) and Xavier Parris (21.09 seconds) both ran personal-best times to finish 11th and 15th in the 200m.
  • Ian Jackson posted a time of 53.44 seconds to secure 10th in the 400m hurdles.
  • Zachary Peterson landed a personal-best toss of 58.79m (192'10") to finish runner up in the hammer throw.
  • Kaelen Mitchell landed a leap of 7.35m (24'8.50) to secure eighth in the men's long jump.
 
Women's Top Performances
  • Corbin McLean ran a personal-best time of 24.19 seconds to take 19th in the 200m.
  • Tayla Moreland took seventh in the long jump with a leap of 5.96m (19'6.75").
 
The Owls will conclude action at the East Coast Relays on Saturday, April 29.
