KENNESAW, Ga. –
Nicholas Mabilo was named ASUN Men's Freshman Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.
Mabilo won the 100m in a personal-best time of 10.26 seconds at the Georgia Tech Invitational. That time set a school record in the event and a new ASUN all-time record. He finished ahead of 2022 First Team All-American Matthew Boling (Georgia) among others. His time ranks tops in the ASUN, tied for 30th in the NCAA East Region and tied for 48th in the NCAA this season. He also ran a leg on the Owls 4x100m relay team that finished third in 40.42 seconds.
Mabilo and the Owls return to action on April 28-29 at the UNF East Coast Relays.
