JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Kennesaw State men's tennis team fell 4-0 to FGCU in the semifinal round of the ASUN Championship at the UNF Tennis Complex on Friday.
FGCU won the doubles points with victories on lines three and one. KSU collected a 7-5 win on court two by
Anthony Weingarten and
Seru Tezuka.
The Eagles won the doubles point and three singles points to claim the match victory.
Raul Garcia and
Hugo Salmeron put up strong fights for the Owls. Garcia won his first set 7-5 and tied the second set 4-4 with ASUN Player of the Year Magnus Johnson.
Hugo Salmeron won the first set 6-4 and was up 7-6 in the third when the match was called.
The Owls will return to action in the fall of 2023.
