Match Preview 
The No. 5 seed Kennesaw State men's tennis team will face No. 1 seed FGCU in the semifinals of the 2023 ASUN Men's Tennis Championship on Friday, April 21. The winner will await the winner of Friday's second semifinal between No. 3 seed North Florida and No. 2 seed Liberty. The ASUN Championship match is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 22.
 
ASUN Tournament History
The Owls are 6-7 overall in the ASUN tournament since make their tournament debut in 2015. KSU has reached the semifinals in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023 but is yet to have reached the finals.  

Scouting FGCU
The Eagles are 13-8 this season. They clinched the No. 1 by virtue of a 4-3 win over Liberty on the final day of the regular season. The Eagles are led by ASUN Player of the Year Magnus Johnson (17-3) at No. 1 singles.   

Scouting Liberty
No. 2 seed Liberty is 14-9 overall and ranked No. 73 nationally in this week's ITA Team Rankings. The Flames are guided by Josh Wilson and Rafael Marques Da Silva who both earned ASUN First Team All-Conference honors.

Scouting UNF
The Ospreys are 16-6 overall and are paced by Jonas Hartenstein (14-5).

The Series 
The Owls and the Eagles will face off for the 16th time on Friday.  FGCU leads the matchup 10-5.  


Should KSU and Liberty face off in the ASUN Finals it will be the seventh matchup between the two programs. The Flames lead the series 5-1.
 

Should KSU and UNF play in the ASUN Finals it will be the 17th matchup between the two programs. The Ospreys lead the series 15-2.

 
The Last Time Out 
The Kennesaw State men's tennis team took down Bellarmine 4-0 in the quarterfinal round of the ASUN tournament Friday, April 14. The Owls won the doubles point and three singles matches to secure the victory.
 
Next Up 
The winner of the 2023 ASUN Men's Tennis Championship earns an automatic berth in to the NCAA Men's Tennis Team Championships which are scheduled for May 18-20 in Orlando, Fla.
