AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team completed rounds two and three of the Augusta Hawkins Award Invitational Sunday at Forest Hills Golf Club.
The squad recorded a 14th place finish with an overall team score of 905 including an 11-over 299 round three.
Claes Borregaard paced the Black and Gold at the event with a 9-over 225 scorecard. He posted back-to-back 2-over 74 rounds to end the tournament.
Right behind Borregaard was Shaun Cook who finished 10-over 226. He shot a 4-over 76 final round Sunday.
Hugo Lari finished 12-over 228 in the field headlined by an impressive 1-over 73 third round.
Graduate Evan Thompson had a 4-over 76 third round adding to a 15-over 231 tournament card.
Yuga Eguchi ended the two-day event with an overall score of 233. His second-round score was tied for the best single-round card by an Owl with Cook at even-par.
Kennesaw State completes its 2022-23 regular season Apr. 10-11 at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial in Charlottesville, Va. hosted by the University of Virginia.
