HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – A hard-fought third round placed the Kennesaw State women's golf team in fourth at the 2023 ASUN Women's Golf Championship Tuesday.
KSU shot 14-over 302 in the final round to finish with a 45-over 909 scorecard, only five strokes behind 2023 ASUN Champion Lipscomb.
LEADING THE TEAM:
2023 ASUN All-Conference first team selection Bella Kil finished tied for fourth and was named to the ASUN Championship All-Tournament team.
She carded a 1-under 71 third round, the only under-par round for the Owls at the tournament.
Her overall event score stood at 4-over 220. Kil led the field with a 2.92 par-3 scoring average.
The senior was one of eight players to land an eagle at the 2023 ASUN Championship.
SCORECARD:
In her final tournament as an Owl, Meva Schmit carded 2-over 74 Tuesday for an 8-over 224 tournament score.
The senior was tied for ninth and tied for third with a 4.07 par-4 scoring average.
Lara Jecnik finished at 18-over 234 through the 54-hole event and tied for 33rd.
Jecnik and Schmit led the Owls with 33 pars at the event.
Freshman Nyah Kelly ended tied for 43rd at 20-over 236.
Schmit and Kelly led the team in par-5 scoring average at 5.08.
Caitlyn Campbell-Nyman shot 7-over 79 in round three for a 9-over 153 across her two rounds of action.
Campbell-Nyman and Kil finished tied for fourth in the field with nine birdies.
