Ji Youn Lee and Sofia Madrid Receive ASUN Accolades

ATLANTA – Ji Youn Lee and Sofia Madrid of Kennesaw State women's tennis received ASUN Conference postseason accolades, the conference announced Wednesday. Lee was selected to the ASUN Third Team All-Conference while Madrid was voted to the All-Freshman Team.
 
Lee finished the season with an 8-5 record in singles play. The graduate student from Yeoju, South Korea played all of her matches on courts one and two and collected an impressive 7-1 record in the two spot. Lee also competed in 13 doubles matches and finished with a 7-6 record.
 
Madrid put together an impressive campaign during her first season at KSU and was one of six athletes selected to the ASUN All-Freshman Team. The Nequin, Argentina native finished the 2023 season with an 8-4 record in singles play and 4-7 record in doubles. Madrid mainly competed on court three during singles, where she collected a 4-3 record as a freshman.
 
The Owls begin their postseason journey with the 2023 ASUN Conference Women's Tennis Championship beginning on Saturday, April 15. KSU is set to take on Eastern Kentucky in the first round at the FGCU Tennis Complex at 10:00 a.m.
