CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team played the opening two rounds of the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial at Birdwood Golf Course on Monday.
KSU carded rounds of 296-294 and are tied for 14
th at 22-over par 590.
Claes Borregaard led the Owls with a pair of even-par rounds of 71. His total of 142 puts him in a tie for 26
th. Borregaard made 28 pars and four birdies during his opening 36 holes. His 28 pars rank second in the field through two rounds.
Evan Thompson posted rounds of 72 and 74 and is tied for 49
th at 4-over par 146.
Hugo Lari (75-74) is tied for 64
th at 7-over par 149.
Yuya Eguchi (154) and
Shaun Cook (157) are tied for 64
th and 73
rd respectively.
The Owls will play its final round of the regular season at the Lewis Chitwenga Memorial on Tuesday, April, 11. KSU will play with Texas State and East Carolina with tee times from 8:35 – 9:11 a.m. off of the 10
th tee.
