JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Kennesaw State women's golf finished in eighth at the UNF Collegiate after round three action Tuesday at the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club.
The Owls carded their third-consecutive 6-over 294 score for an 18-over 882 overall card at the event.
KSU gained ground in the tournament after starting round three in ninth.
LEADING THE TEAM:
Bella Kil led the Owls with a 1-under 71 third round, her second-straight under-par round of the tournament. The senior ended with a 3-under 213 overall score.
She placed sixth at the UNF Collegiate for her third top-six finish of the season. Her 3.93 par-4 scoring average was third in the 90-player tournament.
SCORECARD:
Lara Jecnik posted a 1-over 73 score Tuesday, her lowest score of the event. The junior finished tied for 29th with an overall score of 5-over 221.
Jecnik's par-3 scoring average of 2.92 was tied for fifth.
Caitlyn Campbell-Nyman posted a tournament score of 9-over 225, finishing tied for 43rd.
Freshman Nyah Kelly finished one stroke behind Campbell-Nyman at 10-over 226.
Cameron Neilson's overall card stood at 12-over 228. Neilson's eagle in the second round was one of only six during the two-day event.

GOLF CART NOTES:
>> KSU's par-3 scoring average (3.12) finished fourth in the 17-team field.
>> Kennesaw State's 40 birdies were third-most in the field and the most of any ASUN team.
NEXT TEE TIME:
KSU returns to the course on Monday, Mar. 27 through Tuesday, Mar. 28 for the Bab Steffens Invitational hosted by Stetson.
