JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Kennesaw State women's golf team stands in ninth place after the first two rounds of the UNF Collegiate Monday.
The Owls carded back-to-back rounds of 6-over 294 for a 12-over 588 overall score.
KSU stands two strokes ahead of ASUN opponent Jacksonville State entering round three on Tuesday.
LEADING THE TEAM:
Senior Bella Kil paces the team at 2-under 142 after day one action, including a 2-under 70 second round. She finished tied for eighth.
Kil's 3.90 scoring average on par-4's is tied for second.
SCORECARD:
Lara Jecnik and Caitlyn Campbell-Nyman each posted 2-over 74 scorecards in both the first and second rounds. Their 4-over 148 cards are tied for 32nd among participants.
Jecnik's par-3 scoring average is tied for second at 2.75.
Cameron Neilson and Nyah Kelly finished rounds one and two with overall scores of 8-over 152. They enter round three tied for 62nd.
GOLF CART NOTES:
>> KSU's par-3 scoring average (3.10) is tied for sixth in the tournament.
>> The Owls' 4.17 par-4 scoring average is tied for eighth.
>> Kennesaw State's 27 birdies are tied for second among participating teams.
NEXT TEE TIME:
The Owls complete the UNF Collegiate with round three action Tuesday, Mar. 7 with a shotgun start set for 8:45 a.m.
